The J-RPG features "an original storyline driven by intense themes of love, hate, politics, betrayal and the ultimate question of choosing one's own fate" with CGI cutscenes and full voice-acting throughout.
Magna Carta 2 will also combine "strategic turn-based battles" with "real-time gameplay." So is it turn-based or not? Doesn't sound like it, especially when you consider battles take place on the same screen you explore without any loading and the mention of AI characters in your party.
You earn Kamonds by defeating monsters, which can then be used to enhance your weapons. Magna Carta 2 will also clock in around the 40-hour mark. It's been a low profile title thus farm, especially with Final Fantasy XIII looming large on the horizon, but this should provide a nice J-RPG hit before Final Fantasy's release. Our fingers are crossed.
