Resident Evil 5's Versus mode was released yesterday but rather than the expected euphoria that had Resi fans dancing in the streets, arguments have broken out.

The problem? The download size for the 400 MS Points DLC is 1.8MB, which has led some to believe that this is merely unlocking content already on the disc. The fact that the DLC is even smaller on PS3 at 351KB seems to back this line of thought up.
There are two arguments. There are those defending it, who are saying that this is bigger than any previous unlock code downloads and the file size doesn't have to be that big as it's essentially re-using Mercenaries mode. On the flipside are those who are saying they essentially already paid for this content when they bought the full game, as they're not downloading any new assets plus Capcom stated the DLC wouldn't just be an unlock patch.
Unlock codes have consistently upset 360 owners before, as they feel they shouldn't have to pay extra for content that's already on the disc, but this is the highest profile title to be stung with similar criticism plus the grey area (is it a download code or isn't it?) has made the arguments on both sides fiercer than ever.
Where do you stand on the issue of paying to download unlock codes for DLC? And which category do you think Resident Evil 5's Versus mode falls under, genuine DLC or cheap unlock code?
