Square-Enix has thrown its weight behind the 360, believing it will increase its presence in Japan.

The vote of confidence came from Shinji Hashimoto from Square-Enix, who was talking to Edge Online.
"We expect the Xbox 360 to increase its Japanese market presence even more in the coming months", Hashimoto says. "There is a growing interest in Xbox 360 among Japanese users, due to the release of familiar titles, the increasing appeal of overseas titles, and the excellent reputation of the Xbox 360's network services".
No doubt the J-RPG assault of Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon and the forthcoming Final Fantasy XIII will all help. Do you believe Microsoft can turn it around in Japan?
