The news came out of an Activision conference call, when Activision CEO Mike Griffith said "We look forward to launching Bond: Quantum of Solace in Q3 concurrent with movie. This game uses the Call of Duty 4 engine and technology to bring Bond games to a new level."
Good! We're glad Bond games are being brought to a new level because it's always boring when they stay at the old level. Unfortunately, using Call of Duty 4's engine means they can't shout that Quantum of Solace will be 'built from the ground up' but if that's the trade-off for using the Call Of Duty 4 engine, so be it. They just need to find another soundbite to use instead.
