Saw the videogame announced

Brash Entertainment has announced it will be developing a videogame based on the controversial and gory Saw movies.

The news was revealed at a US press conference that IGN attended. The Saw movies are essentially based around the premise of everyday people being caught in unusual traps, which result in a gory demise should they fail to escape.

Saw the videogame will weave in and out the plots of all four movies, though there's no word if the same 'traps' will be used in the videogame or not. No platforms have been confirmed though the use of Unreal Engine 3 suggests a Xbox 360 release is highly likely. It's not due until October 2009, which is almost certainly a date with destiny that BBFC is circling in the calender as we speak...
