Microsoft has told CVG that it does not see Blu-Ray as 'the future of home entertainment'.

The comments come from Stephen MacGill, director of Xbox and Entertainment at Microsoft, as he admits there are no plans for Blu-Ray integration on Xbox 360.
"We have no plans to adopt [a] Blu-Ray drive for the Xbox 360," he says. "In fact, the future of home entertainment started last autumn when Xbox 360 became the first and only console to offer instant-on 1080p streaming HD movies."
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer has hinted recently at revised Xbox 360 models while 250GB Xbox 360 'Super Elite' models are now available via Final Fantasy XIII and Forza 3 models. Yet despite these recent moves to shape up for the future, it seems plans will not include Blu-Ray.
