Xbox Live Rewards in UK: Microsoft issues statement

While Microsoft has successfully launched the Xbox Live Rewards scheme in the US, they're still keeping quiet about UK plans.

The scheme sees users rewarded with Microsoft Points for participating in various Xbox Live features. For example, 200 MS Points are awarded for renewing a 12 month Gold subscription and for subscribing to movie streaming service Netflix.

However, the same service has yet to be offered to UK 360 owners and Microsoft has issued a statement on the situation:

"The Xbox LIVE Rewards Web site is part of a pilot program we're testing with a small group from our global Xbox LIVE community. We are always exploring new ways to provide the most value to our members, but have nothing to announce about a public program at this time."

So nothing for us yet but sit tight, we have a feeling Microsoft won't give UK owners the cold shoulder that easily...
