Serious Sam gets HD makeover for XBLA

Thursday 25-Jun-2009 3:06 PM The frantic PC first-person shooter is given the spit and polish for XBLA relaunch.

Serious Sam: The First Encounter is on its way to Xbox Live Arcade.

Serious Sam is something of a Duke Nukem-alike FPS - attitude, lots of guns and levels that doubled up as platformers as much as they did corridors to roam through.

Serious Sam's main unique point was the sheer amount of enemies and carnage it would throw at you. It was a game that was proud of how completely ridiculous and over-the-top it was when released for PC back in 1996.
