Ubisoft: Spielberg inspired by Splinter Cell

Film director Steven Spielberg has said he gets a lot of ideas from games like Splinter Cell, according to Ubisoft's Maxime B�land.

Speaking during an interview for our exclusive hands-on with Splinter Cell Conviction in the new issue, Bernard recounted a visit from Spielberg at E3.

"He had an entourage... and he said to his friend 'it gives us a lot of ideas, it's very inspiring'" said Bernard. "I was thinking, like, wow. If we made a game that inspires Spielberg then [censored], we're doing something good here."

High praise indeed. We were pretty blown away by our time with the game too - read about it in issue 49 on-sale now.
