So, you have Street Fighter IV. You have your favourite character. Where do you begin?
Here, that's where. We've put together guides for every character in the game, to help you unlock their potential. For a quick glossary - wake-up is when you're getting up off the floor, linking is doing one move quickly followed by another in a combo sequence, FADC means Focus Attack Dash Cancel, which is charging a Focus Attack (hold MP + MK) and then cancelling it with a dash (towards, towards or back, back).
xx indicates a move that has been cancelled, such as cancelling Ryu's crouching medium kick into Hadoken. > indicates a link, which means one more followed by another rather than cancelled, such as Zangief's crouching light punches.
But How Do I Unlock Them?
Easy enough. In Arcade mode, which can be set to Easiest and 1 round, complete the game with:
C.Viper to unlock Cammy
Ryu to unlock Sakura
Abel to unlock Fei Long
Chun-Li to unlock Gen
M.Bison to unlock Rose
Sakura to unlock Dan
After that, complete the game with at least 1 perfect and 1 Ultra finish with no continues used to fight Akuma. Beat Akuma to unlock him.
After that, complete the game with Akuma. Then complete the game with any character with at least 1 perfect and 1 Ultra finish with no continues used to fight Gouken. Beat Gouken to unlock him. Finally, complete the game with Gouken to unlock Seth!
