Good news everyone! If you've been eagerly awaiting the release of Title Update 12 for Minecraft Xbox 360 edition, then wait no longer. After being successfully certified by the secret Microsoft testing laboratories it's now been unleashed into the wild.
Among so many other things, the update contains the Iron Golems which can protect you and villagers (so be careful if you're one of those folks who enjoys "accidentally" throwing your weapons around their vicinity), an increase in map height to twice what it was before and the new jungle biome, lush in vegetation.
The update also activates support for texture packs and mash-up packs, although there aren't any available yet as, according to 4J on Twitter, they're still waiting for their legal department to sign off before they reveal the first one:
There are no Mash-up or Texture Packs available yet. We're waiting for legal sign-off before we can reveal the first pack. #MinecraftXBLA— 4J Studios (@4JStudios) August 23, 2013
Still, we're most excited about the inclusion of Ocelots - cats which, when tamed, have the added benefit of scaring off those pesky Creepers. If you want to know how to tame one, here's a handy tutorial from helpful YouTuber Eskimo:
The full change list can be found in our previous post on the update. To get it, just fire up your copy of Minecraft to download it - it should be out by the time you read this. What are your first planned Minecraft projects with the new update?
