Ubisoft has promised to reveal a brand new next generation IP at Gamescom later this month, where consumers and pundits will be able to get a hands-on with the rest of the publishers line-up, including Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, Rayman Legends, The Crew, and Splinter Cell Blacklist.
Whilst many speculate that the title in question will be Child of Light, a new project being helmed by former Far Cry and Assassin's Creed creative director Patrick Plourde, which is up for discussion at the European Game Developer's Conference a few days before Gamescom, it's said that the GDC talk will focus on Plourde's move away from high budget, triple A development. This doesn't quite stack up with how Ubi are touting this new IP.
Ubisoft has previously confirmed that it will not be holding a conference at Gamescom this year, so it seems likely that the new IP will be revealed at either the Microsoft or - heaven forfend - Sony conference.
With other recently announced titles like Tom Clancy's The Division and The Crew, Ubisoft is killing it with new IPs at the moment. Do you have any particular wishes in mind for their next reveal?
