The next two free Xbox Gold games may have been outed, care of a Polish website. Do you like jumping over skyscrapers? How do you feel about mulching zombie heads with an electric guitar? If the answer's "yes" to both, you may like what follows.
As spotted by NeoGaf, Polish gaming website Xbox 360 Online Center claims that August's offerings will be Capcom's Dead Rising 2 and the very popular Xbox 360 exclusive Crackdown, based on information from "a reliable source".
Update 31/7/2013 - Polish retailer Ultima seems to think that tomorrow's free game is Crackdown - the site's running a full page promotion. Only a few hours till we know for sure.
Original story continues - Crackdown, of course, is the open world third person action game from 2007 where you play a super-powered Agent dealing with the unsavoury element of Pacific City - or more accurately, bouncing around a massive city playground collecting orbs and throwing cars at unsuspecting criminals. The more recent Dead Rising 2 has a similar open-world shtick, only you're dealing with hordes of zombies as motorcyclist Chuck Greene in a Las-Vegas inspired city while trying to protect your daughter from becoming a member of the undead. While dressed in a mankini, if you choose.
There's no info on which one we'll get first, or indeed if this information is accurate - we'll let you know when we hear anything from Microsoft via our continually updated list of free games. Don't forget to let us know which games you'd like to see turn up on the Games with Gold scheme.
In the meantime, will you be picking up these two free games? Are they better or worse offerings than we've seen so far? Sound off in the comments.
