Minecraft Xbox One and Minecraft Xbox 360 will both receive updates once the former goes on sale, 4J Studios has confirmed, and the developer is looking into enabling save transfers between versions.

@skyyzvenom Yes, we will continue making updates after the release of #MinecraftXbox1 for both the 360 and One Edition— 4J Studios (@4JStudios) June 10, 2013
@danielbooth1998 It would be great to do this, and we are discussing it with Microsoft.— 4J Studios (@4JStudios) June 10, 2013
The game was announced at Microsoft's E3 conference this week, much to nobody's surprise. "Building off the hugely successful Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, the edition on Xbox One will give players larger maps for bigger adventures, expanded multiplayer features, and feature enhancements powered by the Xbox One platform," reads a trailer blurb.
Minecraft Xbox One's release date will fall within the console's "launch window". Roundabouts November, then.
