Noted car game developer Bugbear Entertainment is developing a new game, which is about cars. This is about as surprising as the news that it's coming to "yet to be announced platforms". What next, online multiplayer?
"Best known for our critically acclaimed, multi-million selling "FlatOut" series (FlatOut, FlatOut 2, FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage), team Bugbear is going to deliver the definitive demolition derby racing game," reads a post over on Bugbear's product site, which is titled NextCarGame.com just in case you hadn't got the message.
"We're doing it because nobody else seems capable of delivering the kind of game our fans have been asking from us every week," it goes on. "We feel that there hasn't been a proper demolition derby game in years. It's about time they got an answer.
"We're calling it just our next car game for now. It's coming for the PC and yet to be announced platforms. More news soon."
The below is all "in-game footage". Looks pretty - and I firmly endorse the line about there being hardly any car-smashing games on the shop. Between this and the recently rumoured next gen Project Gotham Racing, fender benders are well ahead of the pack on new platforms.
Bugbear's last game on Xbox 360 was Ridge Racer: Unbounded. Mike wasn't a fan. Were you?
