The pattern with Metal Gear Solid games to date has been thus: something spectacularly flamboyant happens at the tail-end of a massively wordy cut scene, then you spend 10 minutes lurking in a pile of rubble, training your paranoid eye on the goons patrolling the area. Metal Gear Rising's cutscenes pan out the same way, but nowadays the in-game stuff is a touch more... showy.
Of course, you could probably deduce all that from the words "Platinum Games" alone, but just in case you're struggling, here's the second half of our exclusive Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance gameplay video, presided over once again by Matt and Log. There's a lot more combat this time, including fights with those big-thighed bots from Metal Gear Solid 4 and an early boss battle starring a dog with a chainsaw tail.
Got to love the dash of knowingly maniac philosophical wrangling towards the finale. Vintage Kojima. What do you think of the game?
