If you've ever dreamed of being a sinister-looking bald man who murders people for money, then you've probably already played a Hitman game. If you've failed to see the appeal so far - or worse, ended up watching the movie by accident - now's a good time to catch up on what you missed. Order a copy of Blood Money online, pop on the kettle, and click the video below.
This week we sent OXM's omnipresent Mike Channell to go and talk to IO Interactive's Christian Elverdam about the long-awaited return of Agent 47. He managed to sneak into the development studio by incapacitating the bloke who delivers their sandwiches, then doing a little shimmy around that wonky-looking drainpipe. Apart from that, no-one got killed.

We'll have a brand new OXM report video on the Xbox 360 dashboard tonight - keep your eyes peeled.

Certainly on my watch list for 2012...
What I have seen so far, it looks impressive and looking forward to hands on play

I have high hopes for this.Looks alright, interesting with the stealth kills option they are introducing as well.Just hope that doesn't marr the game like he said in the interview you might have to do levels a few times. So long as they are accessible without overly frustrating, should be good,on my purchase list i reckon.

See, that's my overriding memory of Hitman games, frustration. Great ideas, good level design etc but often let down by shoddy, twitchy controls that mean i spend ages setting up the kill and something 'unusual' happens which means i have to hit restart.
It's a series i really want to love, and do in theory but i always come away thinking what might have been. Really looking forward to this as Sam Fisher & Ezio have forgotten how to kill stealthily nowadays!

I know what you mean the AI used to let it down a lot in the early ones. You would scope a level for ages getting to know guard routes and an idea of the level and then some random incident would suddenly balls it all up.
Edit: I am going over to the dark side i reckon after ME3 and getting the MGS HD remakes for the ps3.And the splinter cell ones but you can get them for 360,so that will be my stealth fix if nothing comes along too take it away.

Yep, exactly this. Lost count of the amount of times this happened! If the 'random' was/is believable then i don't mind so much - i.e. MGS where the guards follow footprints you don't realise you left till it's too late!
Deus Ex had a touch of 'psychic guards' too imo despite everyone else dry humping it

Enjoyed deus ex though.Have yet to play through it again since i downloaded the dlc. That could be a while with skyrim and ME3 in a little over a week. Some late nights coming up,lol.
Edit: Duh ME3 is longer than that little over a fortnight then, lol.

I'd not bother with the splinter cell remakes, after completing them they have shown quite a lot of problems, sound cutting and distorting, framerate collapses, as I have Chaos theory on xbox anyway with co-op there isn't as big a draw to them - it's sad because the hd is really quite cool and they are great games, on xbox at least.
On topic I have to say, you're both rubbish lol. I can say the guards are never random, on professional you have no idea where anybody is on your map and seeing as there are NO saves allowed at all it would be impossible if random stuff happens, they stick to their routine like clockwork (ironically demeaning their AI whilst making the game seem to have better AI at first glance). All you have to do is work out their routines, and you can be in and out without even using a disguise! It requires a lot of patience though, a true hardcore game.

Dam that's a shame about splinter cell i wonder if the ps3 versions are the same.I bow to your stealth skill as well bezza,i did alright on older hitman games just always seemed to find a frustrating bit.

A fact i certainly won't dispute...
Weirdly i think im getting more impatient as i get older (isn't that meant to be the other way around) so really have to concentrate now when stealthing
Are you talking the last Hitman though or all of them? If you're talking the earlier titles I would certainly call 'cobblers' to the no dodgy stuff!
Random stuff is slightly exaggerated but i mean being spotted at the side of a doorway when i really should be invisible, stuff like that. Like you say, to get so far through a level with no save point and then have it messed up by something cack like that makes dark souls the equivalent of a sedative!
Clanger - most people did like Deus Ex, i'm one of the few who hated it despite it ticking every possible box on the list of things i like in games, still genuinely baffled by why i hated it so much and couldnt wait for it to end!

I am on about the ps3 versions, it's the only available version of the remake. My xbox original version works perfectly and still looks brilliant.
*Sid yeah just Blood Money, I'm not brilliant by any stretch - you're just rubbish!! lol Impatience is the key factor to failure.
Clanger67 on 20 Feb '12 said:
Oh yes sorry i got them wrong way round aren't there any plans for doing SC on 360 then.I have still got original xbox bet it is tough to get the games though now.
Edit: Or is it backwards compatible with betty and just chaos theory?,none of the others.

Chaos Theory is on Games on Demand for 1200, get a card online to get cheap ms points and it could be worth it, but it's £8 on PSN for chaos theory so do you get the flawed cheaper HD remake or the more expensive xbox version... wait for a sale I say, 600mp would be a bargain!
SidTheSloth on 20 Feb '12 said:
And the more you fail, the more impatient you get
When i used to play the early splinter cells i think the pad spent more time on out of my hands than in them whilst i watched what was going on, i think i took it too far the other way!
My memories of blood money are almost non-existant which is further backed up by its absence in my profile list... I did have another profile for quite a while (MS suspended my account all because of an expired credit card etc) so i might have played it on that, but beginning to wonder if i missed it - despite being of the opinion that i bought/played/liked it?!

Weird allergy, have you seen a doctor?

I have! He prescribed Hitman Blood Money to reduce the symptoms until a new medicine was released, I guessed he meant Absolution...
