Eurocom agents, please start your engines and/or implanted reality-altering chipsets. EA has released the promised co-op Syndicate demo on Xbox Live Marketplace. It's 723.61 MB wide, and is Gold subscriber exclusive.
Syndicate's co-op mode is a narrative-driven affair, putting four Agents through various mini-campaigns. You get many of the same cybernetic tricks and guns as in the main campaign, but there's a separate multiplayer unlocks tree. Options are varied, as you'll discover, but the gunplay rarely gets bogged down in secondary power management.
We're looking forward to reading your thoughts. Queue up your download here.

coma- it's EA so probably only in co-op
Hope I'm wrong as it'll be the same for mass effect 3. Probably.

Just had a game of this online with some randoms, it's a bit overwhelming but it seems very promising, loads going on, i was running around healing the guys on my team who were clearly better shots and i was getting rewarded with points etc just the same. Had to jump out of the game because of the bloody phone so not sure what the points etc are used for yet (level up presumably?) but everything felt pretty slick control & gun wise. Need more play time to form an opinion and a demo is never going to be able to convince depth wise but i wish i hadn't downloaded it now because i think it seems pretty cool whereas i wouldn't have previously batted an eyelid at it!
They might want to publicise the demo a little more though as it's pretty well hidden right now!
EDIT: On further investigation the mission available is a little one dimensional, run here, shoot, hold lb to achieve objective, rinse, repeat. The end boss had a bit more 'strategy' in that you have to lb him to deactivate his armour, but that's hardly pant wetting stuff. Only two games in and my initial excitement at the discovery has been replaced with abject cynicism. I've climbed back on my fence!

I've queued mine up for download. I enjoyed playing this when I played it the other week, and I'm really interested to see what the multiplayer has to offer, because this game is a bit on the fence with me too. I like it so far, but it needs something more, hopefully this coop experience will be the thing which tips the balance, anyone fancy it tomorrow night 9.30pm?

Wow, been keeping away from here a bit, but amazed at how little feedback regarding this demo - maybe they needed to give some Mass Effect goodies away with this one too? Maybe that should be the strategy for all EA demos?
Play the FIFA 13 demo and get the new 'Adidas Go Faster Stripe F50's' for your shepard - helps him outrun the reapers and get into and out of cover quicker than your standard N7 fare...

Yeah things have been quiet around this, though I suppose we shouldn't be surprised given the proximity to Mass Effect and the fact that there's snow outside (OMfiughdfiughdfiughuighdiugpiughdfiugfhG SNOW! - please...) seems to have distracted people.
I think I'll get it, I fancy some four-player coop with a twist and the single player seems good too. I think the depth of the multi will improve in the retail release and particularly when people have unlocked more 'apps' as well, there's plenty this game offers that they haven't included in the demo - in some cases which they SHOULD have included in the demo.

Hmm, i like it, but not sure i like it enough i can justify getting it compared to other stuff? You've played the SP and say good things which is tugging on the old purse strings but amalur is more up my usual street and mass effect is a no brainer for me. Even the rinse-repeat soul calibur feels more appealing to me, despite the fun we had on the demo - i think im cross at them that they did leave so much out of the demo as it would have made any decision a lot lot easier!!

Bezza how do you play solo just downloaded it and you only get co op on the main menu.
Bezza89 on 7 Feb '12 said:
Just go on that and start a private game, wouldn't recommend it as it is nigh on impossible.
Clanger67 on 7 Feb '12 said:
Nice one. What impossible on your own.Thing is you lot have played it co op and from what i heard they have excluded a lot of stuff.
