Activision has launched the first Modern Warfare 3 DLC drops, multiplayer maps Liberation and Piazza.

Catch videos of the maps in motion below. Liberation is a "a vast, militarised landscape, ripe for long-range sniper and LMG fire, with mounted turrets on either end that lend power to anyone brave enough to expose themselves in exchange for deadly firepower."
And Piazza? It's " the idyllic Italian getaway that is anything but, where tight corners and branching pathways pose great risk at every turn. Close-range combat dominates in Piazza, where attacks from behind, above and below are an ever-constant threat."
Expect at least 20 content drops across 2012, with new batches going live for Elite members once a month from now till September. Five are planned between now and March.
March will also see the launch of the first Modern Warfare 3 Content Collection on Xbox Live Marketplace, containing all previously released downloadable content.
Are you on Elite? What do you think of the maps? Here are eight things we want from Modern Warfare 3's DLC.
