If you've been looking for an excuse to pick up NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat Season Pass, which offers four additional fighters for the price of three, now's the time to do it. Microsoft's just chopped 50 per cent off the tag as part of its 12 Days of Xbox end-of-year promotion.
The characters in question are: ultimate "woman in red" Skarlet, blind swordsman Kenshi, aptly named weather godling Rain and "a mystery warrior". Skarlet was originally a Mortal Kombat glitch, you know, before somebody upgraded her to a full-on character. A regular tale of rags to riches.

I haven't played the game for months. When I download the update(s) when I load the game, will it also automatically download all the free costumes?

No it wont.At least it didn't when I downloaded the updates so I can only assume that it wont.

You just go to game marketplace or the ingame store and download them.The are called MK compatibility packs and they are needed if you want to play online for some reason

My mistake I was talking about something else as I misread your post.The mortal kombat season pass works the same as say the gears of war season pass you will need to download the extra characters but they will still be free.
