Valve's Steam service is coming to Xbox 360, if the appearance of a forum titled "Xbox support" is any indication.
Spotted and screen-capped by Steam users earlier this morning (thanks SixthAxis), the mysterious addition sits snugly below the PS3 support forum. In case you didn't know, Steamworks currently operates on PS3 alone, though Valve has waxed lyrical about its desire to spread the love to Xbox.
An innocent mistake, or evidence that said love-spreading is finally in motion? The company has yet to comment. Speculate as you please.

Personally I don't see the fascination with Steam. I'm not really interested either way which has quickly led me to question my motives for posting on such a topic..... *can't....stop....posting*....

What is the extra in the PS3 thingy on steam? I use steam alot and have to say they are the best in caring for the gaming community, I just love steam.

Can't see MS having competition on their own platform. I'm thinking this could be to do with the Xbox Dave (pending) and rumours suggesting a PC/Xbox hybrid. Or I could just be twisting words...

Steam on the Xbox would be a massive step forward for Valve xbox games, things like TF2, L4D2 get constant free updates on the PC (and now PS3?), whereas the Xbox community have to pay for them (fault of Microsoft). For the gamers (those who like Valve games anyway) this would be fantastic, but I can't see the upside for Microsoft except perhaps levelling the score with the PS3.

If anything i'd love for football manager to be made available with all the features from the Pc via the Valve service....... one can only dream.
This is great news if it comes to fruition, like somebody else said hopefully it will abolish the overpriced games on demand service.
