Sad news, RPG fans. CD Projekt's Xbox 360 port of top-rated PC RPG The Witcher 2 has been pushed back from an end of year release to Q1 2012.
The delay will give the developer more time to polish the fittings, and more time to wrangle with Namco over the console publishing rights (THQ is ostensibly publishing the port). Wretched lawyers, trying to stop us killing people with swords.
Guess you'll have to make do with the likes of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Deus Ex: Human Revolution (which we recently scored a 10/10) for the moment, then. Hold on, that doesn't sound as bad as it did when I thought it.

From what I've heard in PC circles, it needs the time for bug fixes. It's also only common sense for an RPG to run screaming from Skyrim, especially a fantasy RPG.
I'm trying to do all the guild questlines in Oblivion before Skyrim comes out, and I'll be playing Skyrim solidly until 2013 (may be an exaggeration), so there isn't much opportunity for other RPGs to get a look in.
If and when TW2 comes out, I'll give it a try, as the people who bashed Dragon Age II were saying to play this instead. However, they all went quiet after it came out, which makes me wonder if they were too busy playing it or embarrassed that they picked a stinker.
Another decent RPG on 360 wouldn't hurt, so I hope this does get released.

Yeah; cannot blame them for scurrying away from skyrim, or even just taking time to fix things if that's their real reason.
