Issue 75 - Aliens! Assassin's Creed! 75 Things We've Learned!

We're three-quarters of a century old, in magazine terms - join the party

When the latest issue of OXM hits shelves on 7th July, we'll be 75 issues old. That's a mighty big number, one that calls for some appropriately gargantuan games coverage.

UPDATE: We've heard from some subscribers that there's a page missing from the end of the Aliens feature. If that's you, you can download the entire feature as a PDF.

Aliens: Colonial Marines leads a round-up of E3 2011's hottest hits, Mike's titanic rundown of summery sports games and two anniversary special list features: 75 Things You Must Do (with your Xbox 360) and 75 Things We've Learned.

Couple of morsels from the last of these pieces: Bayonetta's baddies speak a real language, concocted during the 16th century, and LucasArts almost made a game starring Wookies. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say "AARGH GARGH GARRRG ARGH".

On the preview front, Matt and Jonty teamed up to investigate Batman: Arkham City, Will Porter took a look at Death in Darksiders 2 and Mike got stuck into Assassin's Creed: Revelations, which now allows you to customise the look of your avatar in multiplayer.

As if all that wasn't enough, we cornered Beachhead Studios for another lengthy chat about Call of Duty: Elite, the part-paid, part-free Call of Duty subscription service slated to appear alongside Modern Warfare 3.

Playing us out: the secrets of DiRT 3 and an OXM Investigates article on games that still need patching. Take it away, maestro!
