FEAR 3 is delayed until June

Horror shooter gets pushed back a month

Online retailer Game Gears tweeted today that upcoming horror shooter Fear 3 has been delayed.

The game was originally set to release on the 26th of May but the retailer tweeted that "FEAR 3 Slips to June release".

No solid date in June has been confirmed but Warner Brothers has promised an update in the very near future. We'll update this story when we get it.

This should give that bit more time to play through the two previous games, although we'd advise skipping the distinctly ropey standalone extra Perseus Mandate. If you're feeling lazy, you can get up to speed with the story arch trailer below, and check out some of the previously revealed details collected by our chums over at CVG.

Demented evil lady Alma returns in FEAR 3, with improved horror credentials thanks to the involvement of cult horror director John Carpenter - You can read his thoughts on how games can effectively scare people in the next issue of OXM.

  1. Wasn't the May release already about the third delay? Is this game EVER coming out?

  2. I always prefer a delay over a rushed product.
